The exact time in the east The history of the watch manufactory in Chistopol began in the autumn of 1941. The 2nd Moscow Watch Factory, evacuated from Moscow, arrived in Kazan by train, water and air. The equipment of the manufactory included 170 railway cars, which were delivered to Kazan and from there were delivered to Chistopol by barges. The first barge arrived in the city of Chistopol on November 10, 1941. After river traffic had to be stopped, the remaining equipment was transported by horse-drawn carts in 40-degree frost over the frozen Kama River. 488 specialists arrived in Chistopol with the equipment of the 2nd Moscow Watch Factory, led by a director from Moscow. However, there was a shortage of labor. New employees were recruited among local and evacuated residents. Most of the workers were 14 and 15 years old, and they worked alongside Muscovites to assemble and learn how to use the equipment. During World War II, 2.The Moscow Watch Factory produced tank watches and tank grenade fuses. In addition, it fulfilled special orders for the development and mass production of delayed-action bombs, fuel meters for aircraft, technical components for torpedoes, and recording devices for the hydrometeorological service.

The first watchmakers, who were highly skilled, established the principles of reliable and precise work during the difficult years of the war, when they produced mechanisms for the front. These principles became mandatory for subsequent generations of employees.
The watchmakers of Chistopol made a significant contribution to the victory of the Soviet people in World War II through their hard work.
In 1965, the watch factory in Chistopol became an official supplier to the Red Army. The Komandirskie Chasy watch was immediately recognized by Russian officers for its reliability.
